TrusTrace Launches AI Platform to Automate Supply Chain Compliance

New system consolidates supplier data from 120,000+ vendors across 80 countries to streamline sustainability reporting and regulatory adherence.

Supply chain traceability provider TrusTrace has launched a data and intelligence platform designed to help fashion and apparel brands manage escalating sustainability and due diligence requirements across multi-tier supplier networks.

The platform, which began rolling out this month following pilot programs with major global brands, addresses what TrusTrace identifies as a critical disconnect: companies collect massive volumes of supplier data but struggle to interpret and act on it at scale.

Automating compliance workflows

At the core of the new system is Supply Chain Intelligence, which allows users to query supplier networks, facilities, and materials using natural language and generate compliance reports in seconds. The platform automates operational tasks including supplier assessments, evidence collection, and corrective action follow-ups.

TrusTrace CEO and co-founder Shameek Ghosh framed the challenge: "Every regulation ultimately asks the same question: can you prove it? But proving compliance starts much earlier, with understanding your supply chain, knowing where the gaps are and acting before they become problems."

The system is built on what the company describes as real-time, lot-level traceability with AI-assisted chain-of-custody verification, providing granular visibility across supply tiers and sourcing locations.

Three-module architecture

The platform consolidates three connected modules: Supplier Compliance, Supply Chain Intelligence, and Product Compliance. All three draw from a centralized data foundation that allows suppliers to submit information once—in any language or format—which is then validated and repurposed across different compliance activities. This approach aims to reduce duplicate data requests and supplier fatigue.

Future updates will incorporate regulatory and enterprise intelligence capabilities, linking external regulations and internal compliance standards directly with supply chain data. This will enable brands to identify which regulatory requirements apply to them, pinpoint vulnerabilities, and intervene proactively.

A new program builder feature automates supplier onboarding, monitoring, and corrective actions, replacing repetitive manual processes with workflows tailored to each brand's data requirements.

Deployment and scale

TrusTrace reports that initial supplier data requests can be sent within the first week of implementation, with new compliance programs able to go live within three days. The company's data network currently includes more than 120,000 suppliers across more than 80 countries.

AI capabilities power the platform's core functions, from data extraction and validation to natural-language query handling and automated compliance actions.

Why it matters

As fashion brands face mounting pressure from regulations like the EU's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and similar frameworks worldwide, the ability to verify supply chain claims at scale has become a competitive necessity. TrusTrace's approach—centralizing supplier data once and automating its application across multiple compliance contexts—directly addresses the resource constraints that prevent many companies from scaling their sustainability programs without proportionally scaling their teams. The platform's natural language interface and three-day deployment timeline also lower technical barriers for mid-sized brands that lack enterprise IT resources.

Ghosh emphasized the platform's strategic intent: "We have spent years helping brands build trusted supply chain data. Now we are making that data work harder, turning it into intelligence, decisions, and action. The goal is to help brands scale increasingly complex compliance programmes without scaling their teams at the same rate, so they can spend more time on the decisions that matter."

The solution targets companies of all sizes as they adapt to stricter sustainability regulations and seek to streamline compliance management through data-driven automation.
