Infrrd has released IDPForge, a self-serve API that gives developers direct access to the intelligent document processing technology the company has refined over a decade serving mortgage, financial services, insurance, and logistics enterprises. The platform went generally available in September 2026, according to details first reported by Business Wire.

The move represents a strategic shift for Infrrd, which has historically worked with enterprise customers one at a time to solve complex extraction challenges in regulated, high-volume environments. IDPForge removes the traditional sales cycle and allows development teams to build, test, and deploy document automation on their own timeline.

Why it matters

Most document processing APIs prioritize ease of implementation over accuracy, delivering extraction rates around 60 percent and expecting developers to build separate correction workflows. For industries where document errors carry regulatory or financial consequences—mortgage underwriting, insurance claims, logistics documentation—that trade-off doesn't work. IDPForge targets developers in those sectors who need production-grade accuracy without enterprise procurement cycles.

Technical architecture and routing

IDPForge's core differentiator is per-stage multi-LLM routing. Rather than forcing an entire document pipeline through a single model, the platform routes each stage—layout detection, OCR review, table extraction, schema extraction, and agentic review—to whichever model performs best for that specific task.

Developers can connect their own API keys for supported model providers through bring-your-own-key (BYOK) support. Calls routed through a developer's credentials avoid platform surcharges, while unconfigured providers automatically fall back to Infrrd-managed inference.

The platform includes an embeddable correction interface that captures human edits within the system itself. Corrected data flows directly into downstream systems without requiring developers to build a separate correction desk, keeping the automation continuous from extraction through final output.

Positioning against commodity extraction

CEO Amit Jnagal made clear that IDPForge is not designed for the broadest possible market. "Fine-tuning a single model to get basic extraction is easy, and plenty of platforms are built to offer just that, with 60 percent accuracy passed off as 'good enough' once a developer patches the gaps on a separate correction desk," Jnagal said in the announcement. The company built IDPForge for developers who need both efficiency and accuracy rather than workflows held together with manual fixes.

Infrrd has spent ten years proving that document automation can deliver speed and accuracy simultaneously in industries with little margin for error. IDPForge packages that capability for developers who previously couldn't access it without enterprise contracts.
