Tabi Connect, Kleinschmidt Link Freight Quoting to Capacity Data

Automated pricing meets predictive capacity

Tabi Connect and Kleinschmidt announced a partnership on September 14 that connects automated freight quoting directly to predictive capacity intelligence. The integration routes quote requests from Kleinschmidt's Intelligence Network into Tabi's platform, where broker-defined pricing rules are applied automatically before quotes return to shippers.

The partnership links two distinct capabilities: Tabi's rule-based pricing engine and Kleinschmidt's Capacity IQ platform, which analyzes more than 150,000 loads moving across North America daily to forecast where trucks will become available. Brokers can now factor expected carrier availability into their pricing decisions before submitting quotes, rather than discovering capacity constraints after committing to a rate.

How the integration works

Tabi's Pricing Logic Engine allows brokerages to establish rules based on customer relationships, lane characteristics, equipment requirements, and current market conditions. When a quote request arrives through Kleinschmidt's network, these rules are applied automatically without manual broker intervention.

Capacity IQ adds another layer by using tender insights and predictive analytics to identify carriers likely to have capacity near specific pickup locations before they complete current deliveries. This forward-looking visibility gives brokers additional context when setting rates in markets where truck availability fluctuates.

According to the companies, the integration reduces response times while ensuring pricing strategies are applied consistently across brokerage teams. Tabi reports its API connections return quotes in approximately three seconds, while its robotic process automation connections typically deliver rates in 35 to 50 seconds.

Network scale and adoption

Tabi currently connects with more than 88 shipper transportation management systems, bid boards, and freight marketplaces through 17 native API integrations and 71 RPA connections. The company reports its platform is used by over 100 logistics companies, including more than 20 of the top 100 U.S. brokerages, and processes more than 1 million quotes monthly.

The platform also integrates with freight rating and market-data providers including DAT, Greenscreens, C4, Sonar, and Truckstop.

For Kleinschmidt, the partnership extends its role as an integration provider for supply chain companies. The company provides managed EDI, API, and B2B integration services and acquired eBase Solutions in May to expand its capabilities.
