Inspiren has closed a $70 million Series C funding round at a valuation exceeding $500 million, bringing the senior living technology company's total capital raised to $225 million — the highest figures yet achieved by a technology firm focused exclusively on the senior care sector.

NewView Capital led the round, with participation from Insight Partners, Primary Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Vintage Investment Partners, Lightbank, Avenir Growth Capital, Story Ventures, and Camber Creek, according to details first reported by the company.

The New York–based company builds what it calls "physical AI" — technology that interprets real-time activity in residents' environments to alert care staff before situations escalate into emergencies. The platform combines ambient monitoring with longitudinal data on individual residents and community operations, giving caregivers visibility into what happens behind closed doors.

Clinical outcomes driving adoption

Several operators have published outcome data from Inspiren deployments. Aegis Living reported that residents who opted into the system stayed 34% longer on average, with a 22% lower fall rate and 24% fewer injuries. Clearwater Living saw falls resulting in injury decline 63% in the first three months, with post-fall emergency room visits dropping 73%. A 10-month study at Solera Senior Living's Lumina Las Vegas community showed a 48% reduction in falls, 54% fewer hospitalizations, and 50% faster staff response times.

The company's technology now operates in communities across more than 80% of the largest senior housing investors, including AEW and Sabra Healthcare REIT, and is deployed by operators such as Arrow Senior Living, Ascent Living Communities, Heritage Communities, Thrive Senior Living, and Wellpointe.

Why it matters

The 85-and-older population represents the fastest-growing demographic segment in North America, and incoming senior living residents arrive with increasingly complex clinical needs. At the same time, the sector faces persistent workforce shortages. Technology that extends the reach of existing care teams — without requiring residents to wear devices or compromising privacy — addresses both trends simultaneously. The clinical outcomes data suggests this approach can improve both resident safety and community economics, a combination that explains investor confidence in a category that has historically struggled to attract venture capital at this scale.

Inspiren recently expanded its eCall solution to include Two-Way Voice and Alert Claiming features, allowing care teams to understand a resident's situation and coordinate response before arriving on scene. The company plans to use the new capital to scale go-to-market operations, advance its hardware ecosystem, and deepen the AI platform's detection and prediction capabilities.

Founded in 2016 by Michael Wang, a former Green Beret and cardiothoracic nurse, Inspiren is led by CEO Alex Hejnosz. The executive team includes veterans from Meta, Peloton, Shopify, Udemy, Auth0, 1Password, and Intercom. Fast Company named Inspiren to its World's Most Innovative Companies of 2026 list, ranking it 12th worldwide in healthcare.

Details of the funding round were announced by Inspiren in a company release.
