C-Infinity plans to unveil AutoAssembler v4 at IMTS 2026, a software platform that applies artificial intelligence and physics-based reasoning to translate CAD models into manufacturing process plans while identifying assembly problems before production starts.
The Mountain View, California-based company positions the tool as a way to reduce the manual work manufacturing engineers perform when converting product designs into executable assembly sequences. The software examines product geometry, motion paths, and spatial relationships to detect interference issues, misalignment risks, infeasible part configurations, tool-access constraints, motion conflicts, and assembly-sequencing challenges. It can also surface opportunities for design-for-assembly improvements.
AutoAssembler v4 automatically generates manufacturing bills of materials and bills of process directly from product models, eliminating manual documentation steps.
Engineering change management as a core function
A central feature addresses engineering change orders. When designers modify a product, the software analyzes the updated CAD model and refreshes only the affected portions of production planning data. This approach avoids forcing engineers to manually re-evaluate entire assemblies after each design revision—a common source of delays and errors in manufacturing operations.

Deployment and data control
C-Infinity designed AutoAssembler for customer-controlled environments and private cloud deployments, allowing manufacturers to maintain custody of proprietary engineering data rather than sending it to third-party cloud services.
