Rockwell Automation Links Plex QMS with VisionAI for Quality Control

The pairing embeds AI-driven visual inspection capabilities directly into quality management workflows, according to details first reported by the company.
The integration addresses a documented weakness in conventional visual inspection, which Rockwell notes achieves only 80% effectiveness and typically fails to preserve inspection records. By routing VisionAI results through Plex QMS, manufacturers gain automated anomaly detection alongside full traceability, product serialization, and persistent inspection history.

Separately, Plex's Reporting and Analytics module now includes an embedded AI agent that generates dashboards from operational data and responds to natural language queries to surface risks and predict process issues.
