Regal brings autonomous voice AI to Five9 enterprise customers

Regal, an enterprise voice AI agent platform, has integrated with Five9's intelligent customer experience platform through the Five9 AI Agent Connect program. The integration makes Regal's autonomous AI voice agents available to Five9's contact center customers, enabling automated call follow-ups, personalized outreach triggered by call outcomes, and synchronized real-time call data across both platforms.

According to details first reported by Regal, the company's AI voice agents resolve 99.5% of conversations without requiring human intervention. The integration is designed for enterprises in regulated industries that need both automation capabilities and enterprise-grade security protocols.

How the integration works

The partnership enables organizations to automatically trigger SMS messages or AI-powered outbound calls based on events within Five9. Customer and call data—including agent information, campaign details, call duration, and outcomes—synchronizes into Regal in real time, providing both human agents and AI systems with context for personalized conversations.

Regal can also identify high-intent prospects through its customer journey orchestration capabilities and automatically route qualified contacts into Five9 outbound campaigns. This helps sales and service teams prioritize outreach to customers most likely to convert or require assistance.

Why it matters

As enterprises adopt AI to handle routine customer interactions, the challenge isn't just automation—it's ensuring AI agents work alongside human teams without disrupting existing workflows or compromising compliance. For regulated industries like financial services and healthcare, this integration addresses a critical gap: deploying voice AI that meets security standards while integrating cleanly with established contact center infrastructure. The ability to synchronize call data in real time means human agents can pick up conversations with full context when AI escalates complex cases.

Early customer adoption

Kevin Griffith, VP of Sales & Technology & Intelligent Platforms at Mutual of Omaha, said the integration fit into the company's existing technology stack without disrupting current operations. He noted that AI and human agents now function as a unified team, with every call automatically flowing back to Five9 and relevant context carried forward.

Regal serves more than 200 enterprises and draws on data from over 500 million calls to train its AI agents. Five9 powers contact centers for more than 3,500 enterprises across 140-plus countries. The partnership was announced August 13, 2026, according to Regal.

Alex Levin, CEO and co-founder of Regal, said the future of customer service involves creating intelligent systems where AI and human agents work together seamlessly, particularly for enterprises in highly regulated industries that need to deploy secure AI voice agents while maintaining compliance.

The details were first reported by Regal in a company announcement.
