Nokia and Microsoft partner on AI network automation platform

Nokia and Microsoft are deepening their technology partnership with a new platform designed to accelerate AI-driven network automation for telecommunications providers, according to a company statement.
Integration aims to speed data access
The collaboration combines Nokia Data Suite with Microsoft Fabric's analytics and AI capabilities. Nokia says the integration will enable telecom operators to access network data in minutes rather than weeks, significantly reducing the time required for data preparation and integration tasks.
Nokia Data Suite brings prebuilt telco data products with semantic modeling and data quality controls to the partnership. Microsoft Fabric contributes OneLake storage, analytics tools, and AI applications including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Foundry, and Power BI.
"Telecom providers are ready to move AI from experimentation into everyday network operations, but that requires trusted data, strong governance and platforms that can scale," said Silvia Candiani, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Telco & Media at Microsoft.
Multi-vendor deployment and use cases
The solution is available now and supports multi-vendor, cross-domain telecom environments across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises deployments. Initial use cases include autonomous voice-over-new-radio service assurance, geographic radio access network performance analysis, and predictive maintenance and fault management.
The platform supports closed-loop operations and automated root-cause analysis while maintaining human oversight within defined governance boundaries, according to the companies.
