GenWay Home Mortgage has implemented Tavant's TOUCHLESS AI automation platform across its non-qualified mortgage and government lending operations, moving six underwriting automation products into production within three months of deployment.

The national lender specializes in non-QM and Ginnie Mae lending and selected the platform to automate critical origination workflows and improve operational efficiency as the company scales. According to Business Wire, which first reported the partnership, GenWay went live with the system in September 2026.

Rapid deployment model

GenWay adopted an accelerated implementation approach designed to deliver measurable results quickly. The three-month rollout focused on underwriting automation and represents a foundation for broader modernization efforts across the lender's operations teams.

The platform provides intelligent data and document processing, workflow automation, and guided task execution tailored specifically to non-QM and government lending requirements. GenWay CEO and President Greg Reed said the company needed automation infrastructure that could adapt as the business grows.

"Tavant's deep understanding of the mortgage industry, combined with AI and Automation depth and a delivery model built around our specific needs, made Tavant the clear partner of choice," Reed stated in the announcement.

Performance targets

Tavant's TOUCHLESS platform is designed to deliver substantial operational improvements across mortgage lending workflows. The company reports the system can reduce operational costs by up to 60 percent and increase underwriting throughput by four to twelve times compared to manual processes.

The automation platform also targets significant reductions in loan cycle times, aiming to compress the typical 30-to-45-day timeline down to seven to 15 days. These improvements are intended to enhance both borrower and employee experiences while maintaining compliance standards.

Why it matters

Non-QM lending requires more complex underwriting than conventional mortgages, making it a particularly challenging segment to automate effectively. GenWay's rapid deployment demonstrates that AI-powered platforms can now handle the nuanced documentation and income verification requirements that characterize non-agency lending. For an industry where operational efficiency directly impacts profitability and competitiveness, the ability to compress loan cycles by more than half while maintaining compliance represents a meaningful shift in what mortgage technology can deliver at scale.

Hassan Rashid, President of Fintech at Tavant, noted the engagement reflects the platform's versatility across both non-agency and government lending environments. The partnership expands Tavant's presence in the lending automation market and adds GenWay to what the company describes as a growing TOUCHLESS user community.

Details of the partnership were first reported by Business Wire.
