Zorcha has removed the paywall from its Instagram direct message automation platform, allowing users to automate unlimited conversations without charge. The move targets creators and businesses that have been unable to afford automation software, according to details first reported by Automation Watch.

The platform has attracted more than 100,000 creators and businesses since launch, all of whom can now access core DM automation features at no cost. The free tier became available immediately.

By eliminating costs for basic automation, Zorcha is betting that volume adoption will create opportunities for premium upsells while lowering barriers to entry for Instagram commerce. CEO Frames Move as Democratization Play

Zorcha CEO Archit Mehrotra positioned the decision as leveling the playing field between large corporations and individual creators. "Instagram has democratised distribution for everyone," Mehrotra said. "Reaching millions of people was once a privilege only big corporations had, but now anyone with a phone and internet connection can do that."

Mehrotra noted that while Instagram lowered distribution barriers, automation costs remained prohibitive. "Instagram has become one of the most important business platforms in the world, yet automation has remained inaccessible for many because of software costs," he said. "By making our core DM automation platform free, we're removing that barrier entirely."

The company framed its objective as helping users compete for attention on an increasingly crowded platform.

Platform Offers Additional Paid Features

Beyond DM automation, Zorcha provides AI-powered chat capabilities, digital product sales tools, content scheduling, brand collaboration features, and lead-generation chatbots. The company did not specify which of these additional features remain behind a paywall or what pricing tiers exist for premium functionality.

The platform's automation tools allow users to handle Instagram conversations at scale without manual responses, a capability particularly valuable for creators and businesses managing high message volumes from followers, customers, or potential partners.
