Mistral AI has formed a strategic partnership with Cloudera to deliver what both companies call "sovereign AI" capabilities directly within enterprise data environments, according to an announcement from Mistral.

This includes the ability to choose infrastructure and jurisdictions for training and inference, deploy models on open weights that customers can adapt and own, and maintain governance over AI systems without ceding control to external platforms.
