Adecco logs 1.2M AI candidate interactions, halves hiring time

Adecco has surpassed 1.2 million AI-powered candidate interactions across ten countries, marking a significant scale milestone in workforce automation. The staffing company reported that its AI deployment has cut time-to-deliver by 50% in lead markets while pushing fill rates above 80%, according to details first reported by The Adecco Group.

The figures represent more than experimentation. Adecco has completed 250,000 full interviews across 50,000 jobs, accumulating what the company calculates as over 12 years of continuous conversation time. Customer satisfaction scores have reached 4.3 out of 5.

Seven-stage deployment model

Adecco has deployed AI agents across seven distinct points in the recruitment lifecycle: pre-screening, talent pool management, recruiter support, customer service, onboarding, and voice capability. The approach reflects a systems-level transformation rather than isolated automation of a single task.

More than half of all interactions—51%—occur outside traditional working hours, giving candidates flexibility while allowing human recruiters to concentrate on relationship-building and strategic placement decisions.

One notable innovation is the Redeployment Agent, which proactively reconnects with candidates within days of an assignment ending. Rather than forcing workers to restart their job search from scratch, the agent captures feedback and builds a personalized profile for future opportunities.

Expansion from Latin America pilot

The current deployment builds on a one-year experimentation phase conducted across Latin America. Adecco is now preparing to expand its high-volume recruitment capability into additional countries, particularly in sectors requiring large-scale talent deployment.

Christophe Catoir, Global President and CEO of Adecco, said the milestone demonstrates "proven impact" rather than potential. He described the company's approach as "talent, tech and touch"—combining AI with human connection and the company's network of 3,500 branches.

Additional agents and geographic expansions are scheduled over the next two months as part of a broader business transformation strategy.

Why it matters

Adecco's scale demonstrates that AI recruitment tools can move beyond pilot programs to production systems handling millions of interactions. The 50% reduction in time-to-deliver and 80%+ fill rates suggest measurable business impact, while the after-hours usage pattern indicates genuine candidate adoption. For enterprise HR leaders evaluating AI vendors, the deployment model—spanning multiple recruitment stages rather than a single point solution—offers a blueprint for systematic automation. The Redeployment Agent also addresses a practical gap in contingent workforce management: keeping workers engaged between assignments rather than losing them to competitors.

Details were first reported by The Adecco Group in a company announcement.
